Energy Yoga & Fitness offers a welcoming, relaxing space with a comfortable padded floor and soft lighting in a quaint location with lots of parking and easy access to the studio. Yoga and fitness classes, personal training, and other special classes are offered every day of the week, at convenient times in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

Programs

Yoga and Qi-gong classes combine mind-body exercises similar to Tai-Chi or Qi-gong with postures from Hatha Yoga. The 70-minute classes are designed to improve joint mobility and posture, to correct muscle imbalances, and to facilitate the ability to manage stress. Each class starts with an active warm-up, followed by stretching in standing, sitting, and lying positions. The class ends with a brief meditation facilitated through movement and breath. This mindful practice is intended to lower brain waves and create a sense of calmness.

Fit Circuit is a 60-minute class designed to build muscle strength and endurance and to improve balance, coordination, and bone density. Participants alternate between 1-minute stations/exercises which engage all of the major muscle groups with varying levels of difficulty and resistance using equipment or body weight as resistance. The instructor creates a unique group personal training environment, where exercises are modified according to individuals’ physical conditions and needs.

The Sword Class is a 60-minute class inspired by a Korean martial arts form called Dahn Mu Do. The sword is used as a tool for participants to achieve mental clarity and focus, build confidence, and master mind-body coordination. Participants practice a variety of dynamic and stationary forms using a wooden sword.

As the owner and manager of Energy Yoga & Fitness and the instructor for most of the Yoga classes and for all of the Qi-gong classes, the Sword class, and the fitness and personal training, Marek offers a program that facilitates the health and balanced well-being of all by combining the wisdom of traditional eastern mind-body training with principles and best practices from physical fitness training. Marek’s classes and personal training are informed by his varied experience and training in yoga, fitness,and Dahn Mu Do; playing and coaching competitive soccer; a Master degree in Physical Education; and over 30 years of teaching, personal training, and coaching individuals and groups, including over 20 years in the Burlington community.
Through the more than 15 years as an instructor and then manager of Energy Yoga and Fitness with a community of over 140 participants, Marek has developed a safe, simple, effective, and fun program that is accessible to and can benefit anyone regardless of age or health status.

Personal Training is offered in 30, 45, and 60-minute sessions. Marek creates a friendly and motivating environment and designs creative individualized training programs to help clients achieve personal goals.

PiYo Class is pilates + yoga + dynamic movement to fantastic music!
You will sweat, stretch and strengthen all in one class. PiYO combines muscle-sculpting and core firming benefits of pilates with the strength and flexibility benefits of yoga. And because you’re always in motion, you’re burning TONS of calories! There are no weights or jumps. You will use your own body weight with low impact, high intensity moves. PiYO is restorative, empowering and FUN!
